Who we are
Verent is a research lab and consumer product company working on a simulation engine that predicts complex behavior at scale. Our first product is Pluto, a CAD for social media. You can reach us at privacy@verent.org with any question about this notice.
What we collect
From you, directly. When you join the Pluto waitlist, we collect the fields you submit: email, name, and optionally a company or handle and a use case (influencer, brand agency, startup, enterprise, or other). When you email us at join@verent.org or any other Verent address, we receive your message, your email, and anything you attach.
Automatically.Our host (Vercel) writes basic request logs: IP address, user agent, and the URL you visited. These rotate on Vercel’s schedule and we do not export them. We do not run third-party analytics, ad pixels, or session-replay tools on this site.
How we use it
- To onboard waitlist signups in waves and tell you when your wave is up.
- To respond to people who write to us about roles, partnerships, or research.
- To keep the site running and investigate abuse.
We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the site and store waitlist signups. Today that list is:
- Vercel— hosts the website and writes request logs.
- Neon— stores the waitlist database.
If we add another provider (for example, an email service to send waitlist confirmations), we’ll update this list before sending you anything through it. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, and we will push back on requests that are not.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist entries until Pluto is generally available, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever is sooner. Job application emails live in our inbox; we delete or archive them on a rolling basis. Server logs follow Vercel’s retention.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email privacy@verent.org and we will act within a reasonable window. If you are in a region with a specific framework (the EU’s GDPR, California’s CCPA, the UK’s UK GDPR, and so on), these rights apply to you and we will honor them.
A note specific to Verent
Pluto runs simulations using synthetic agents. Those agents are built from a universal base representation trained on aggregate patterns of human behavior across recorded history, and from opt-in research conversations. They are not built from waitlist signups, job applicants, or visitors to this site. Your email and name are used to onboard you, nothing else.
Children
The site and the waitlist are intended for adults. Don’t submit anyone’s information here if they are under 18. If you believe we have collected a minor’s information, email privacy@verent.org and we will remove it.
Changes to this notice
We’ll update this page when how we handle information meaningfully changes, and we will move the “last updated” date at the top. If a change affects you directly and we have your email, we will tell you.
